The progressive indoctrination of school-aged children is a serious problem that affects future generations.

And sadly, most schools across the nation refuse to teach kids the truth about history.

But now President Biden is furious after Ron DeSantis signed this one important bill.

Florida to teach school kids the history of communism

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has signed a new bill that will ensure kids as young as kindergarten learn about the history of communism.

Standing behind a podium with a sign that said, “ANTI-COMMUNIST EDUCATION,” DeSantis signed the bill which requires the subject to be taught to students in lower grades.

The signing took place during the 63rd anniversary of the U.S. launching the Bay of Pigs invasion, which was an attempt to overthrow dictator Fidel Castro in Cuba.

During a press conference at the Hialeah Gardens Museum, DeSantis said, “We know that the Bay of Pigs was launched because the island of Cuba had succumbed to communist tyranny. We’re going to tell the truth about communism in the state of Florida. We’re going to tell the truth about the evils of communism.”

The museum honors the efforts of the Bay of Pigs’ Assault Brigade 2506.

Bill SB 1264 states that the Florida Department of Education will “prepare and offer” standards for the “age appropriate and developmentally appropriate” instruction on the history of communism, which would now apply to all grade levels.

Many of the concepts and lessons will include an emphasis on the economic troubles and restrictions on personal freedoms that people deal with in Communist countries.

One of the mandated topics that must start being taught during the 2026-27 school year, is “The increasing threat of communism in the United States and to our allies through the 20th century, [and] the economic, industrial, and political events that have preceded and anticipated communist revolutions.”

Currently, students in Florida may get lessons about communism in their high school social studies class or seventh-grade civics and government classes.

Bill passes with bipartisan support

Bill SB 1264 passed with bipartisan support, with only seven Democrats voting against it in the Florida House and Senate.

State Rep. Anna Eskamani (D-Orlando) voted against the bill, saying that she doubts it would be carried out properly.

She also pointed out some of the controversies surrounding state schoolbook requirements and black history standards.

Other critics of the bill say that lessons on communism are too complex for younger students to understand.

However, DeSantis responded to those criticisms by saying, “Maybe we should sponsor a trip to have all those Florida Democrats come visit the museum here and learn about the brigade.”

Several Bay of Pigs veterans attended the press conference, most of whom were members of Assault Brigade 2506.

Rafael Montalvo, president of the Bay of Pigs Veterans Association, said, “The most important fight against communism is the one that’s done in the school rooms. That’s where the battle is happening right now, and this is going to be a tool that’s going to give us a victory in that area.”
