One Louisiana Republican has a unique gift of asking some tough questions that get to the heart of an issue.

And Senator Kennedy doesn’t mind putting radical Democrats in a position where they must defend the indefensible.

Now Senator Kennedy just exposed Biden HHS Secretary’s extreme position on abortion with just one question.

Democrats are fighting against a current of popular opinion on multiple issues these days.

President Joe Biden’s approval ratings have been abysmal for nearly three years.

Inflation has taken its toll on everyday Americans’ budgets, and the open borders policies favored by the political left have proven to be tremendously unpopular.

The Democrats, led by Joe Biden’s handlers, have decided that going all-in on abortion is the best way to salvage what is shaping up to be a very close election.

But that carries tremendous risks because while they don’t like to admit it, it is the Democrats who are wildly out of step with the mainstream of public opinion when the issue is discussed honestly.

That’s why people like Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) could be their worst nightmare.

During a Senate hearing on Tuesday, Senator John Kennedy questioned Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Xavier Becerra about his position on abortion.

The subject turned to one that has proven to be very uncomfortable for Democrat radicals who are forced to take very extreme positions.

Kennedy simply asked if Becerra would support banning abortion in the case of a healthy baby and a healthy mother, one day before the due date, just because they wanted the baby to be a different gender.

Because Becerra and the majority of Democrat elected officials in Congress are completely radical on the issue and out of sync with most voters, he did what Democrats always do in situations like this while hoping that the equally radical corporate media won’t cover it.

He tried to weasel out and not answer the question.

Kennedy asked, “Mr. Secretary, if the mother is healthy and the baby is healthy, do you really support abortion of the baby up to the moment of birth? Let’s suppose — suppose it’s the day before the due date, and the baby is fully formed and the baby is healthy and the mother is healthy, do you support aborting — the right to abort the baby then?”

Becerra when asked if he supports barbarism: “I’ve heard no one say that.”

Becerra replied, without addressing the Senator’s question, “I’ve heard no one say that.”

Kennedy then read a statement from Becerra himself from 2020, when he said, “No government, state or federal, has the right to make decisions for a woman about her body or her health care.”

Kennedy added, “Your words, not mine. I ask you again, up to the moment of birth, if the mother’s healthy and the baby’s healthy, do you believe that there should be the right to abort that baby? Up to the moment of birth.”

Becerra said he had “always supported Roe v. Wade, which doesn’t do what you just said.”

But Kennedy wasn’t amused, and he wasn’t done.

Kennedy flushed him out

He said, “I want your answer. Roe v. Wade has been overturned. I want your answer.”

The answer would never come as Becerra danced around the topic once again, but the non-answer speaks volumes.

Democrat politicians don’t want to talk about how they are completely okay with abortion right up until the moment of birth, and the more frequently that this truth breaks through, the worse their general election prospects.

That’s especially so since they are already behind in the polls.

Kudos to Kennedy for showcasing Becerra’s radicalism.

Do you oppose abortion-on-demand up to the moment of birth?
