If Liz Cheney and the Democrats get their way it could send Biden and Obama to jail

It is amazing how quickly Democrats forget history.  Whenever they push a power grab, it inevitably comes back to bite them.

Now Liz Cheney and other Leftists are pushing the Supreme Court to eliminate Presidential immunity so they can get Trump.

The problem is if they succeed against Trump, they will put Joe Biden and Barack Obama at risk for some serious criminal charges.

Cheney Urges Supreme Court to Strike Down Trump’s Immunity Claim

In a significant legal challenge, the Supreme Court is currently deliberating a case that hinges on former President Donald Trump’s assertion of Presidential immunity in the face of criminal charges related to the events of January 6.

Writing in the New York Times, the disgraced former-Rep. Liz Cheney, vehemently argued against the immunity, insisting that Trump deserves no protection from prosecution and that the January 6 case must proceed to trial without delay.

“The justices must understand the severe implications of a delayed decision,” Cheney articulated in the New York Times. “Should they fail to resolve these issues swiftly and decisively, we risk never exposing the critical evidence from the grand jury, nor holding accountable the individual most responsible for January 6.”

Liz Cheney was kicked out of the Wyoming Republican Party in November of 2021, censured by the Republican National Committee in February of 2022, and ultimately fired by the voters of Wyoming in the 2022 congressional primary for her unhinged anti-Trump rants.

“I’m going to make sure Donald Trump … make sure he’s not the nominee and if he is the nominee, I won’t be a Republican,” Cheney told the Texas Tribune in June of 2022.

The Implications of Rejecting Presidential Immunity

As Democrats push for a quick trial, hoping for a conviction before the 2024 elections, they seem oblivious to the Pandora’s Box they are opening.

Their efforts to deny Trump Presidential immunity could lead to unforeseen repercussions.

Cheney and Special Counsel Jack Smith contend that Presidential immunity does not shield a President from actions undertaken while in office.

A Dangerous Precedent: From Trump to Obama

Presidential decisions could become overly cautious, hampered by the fear of post-office legal repercussions, potentially transforming the United States into a nation where former Presidents are routinely prosecuted by their successors.

Trump himself has highlighted the stakes involved, noting on Truth Social, “IF THEY TAKE AWAY MY PRESIDENTIAL IMMUNITY, THEY TAKE AWAY CROOKED JOE BIDEN’S PRESIDENTIAL IMMUNITY.”

This could pave the way for the Trump Justice Department to pursue charges against Biden and Obama for alleged offenses committed during their terms.

In a particularly contentious act from 2011, Obama authorized a drone strike that killed American citizen Anwar al-Awlaki and his son without a trial—actions that could see new scrutiny and potential charges if Presidential immunity is discarded.

The Constitutional Crisis: Democrats’ Gambit to Target Trump

The Democrats’ aggressive strategy to target Donald Trump without considering the broader constitutional implications demonstrates a perilous short-sightedness.

By undermining the constitutional safeguards of Presidential immunity, they risk setting a precedent that could destabilize the political equilibrium of the nation.
