Alina Habba is the public face of Donald Trump’s legal defense team in the fight against the Democrats’ lawfare battle against the former President.

In just a few minutes, she stunned everyone in the Manhattan courtroom, where the latest attack is taking place.

And Alina Habba just made this shocking prediction about the ongoing New York witch hunt against Donald Trump.

Alina Habba gives a frightening update on Manhattan criminal case

Former President Donald Trump’s criminal case is in full swing in Manhattan.

The Democrat prosecutors allege Trump falsified business records.

And during an appearance on Newsmax, Trump lawyer Alina Habba prepared everyone for the worst-case scenario.

“How are you and what do you think tonight about everything?” host Greg Kelly asked her.

“I don’t have hopes really that high at this moment that the New York courts will do the right thing, that the jury will do the right thing,” Habba said. “We’re in a blue state, as you know, and I think everything’s by design.”

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg stacked the deck in this bogus case with a Democrat Judge whose daughter is a Democrat political operative and with a jury selected from a city that voted overwhelmingly against the former President.

“We’re in a case that was eight years old, over the statute of limitations, was denied by [former Manhattan District Attorney] Cy Vance, then brought only after President Trump decided he was going to run for office,” Habba continued.

Since the statute of limitations expired on the misdemeanor charges of falsifying business records, Bragg concocted federal and state campaign finance charges – which Manhattan has no jurisdiction over – to get something to charge Trump with before the 2024 election.

Habba also blasted the gag order placed on Trump by Democrat Judge Juan Merchan that is designed to keep him from being able to defend himself in the court of public opinion.

“It’s very troubling,” Habba stated. “We’re in the fight of our lives at this moment.”

The New York Times publishes a scathing op-ed calling Trump’s case a scam

Bragg’s case claims that because former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen paid Stormy Daniels money as part of a nondisclosure agreement, it amounted to election interference in 2016.

The case is so legally questionable that even the ultra-leftist New York Times ran an op-ed entitled, “I Thought the Bragg Case Against Trump Was a Legal Embarrassment. Now I Think it’s a Historic Mistake.”

Boston University law professor Jed Handelsman Shugerman pointed out in the op-ed that Bragg was stretching the law to create a case out of thin air against Trump.

“I could find no previous case of any state prosecutor relying on the Federal Election Campaign Act either as a direct crime or a predicate crime,” Shugerman wrote. “Whether state prosecutors have avoided doing so as a matter of law, norms or lack of expertise, this novel attempt is a sign of overreach.”

Bragg’s flimsy case against Trump could very well set up the former President to win on appeal if he is convicted in Manhattan.

“No New York precedent has allowed an interpretation of defrauding the general public. Legal experts have noted that such a broad ‘election interference’ theory is unprecedented, and a conviction based on it may not survive a state appeal,” Shugerman stated.

All that said, with Bragg’s ability to rig the case in Manhattan, Alina Habba and Trump’s legal team will likely have to beat the phony case on appeal.
