Many conservatives were happy when Mike Johnson became Speaker of the House because he claimed to be a staunch Trump ally.

But now many conservatives are questioning Johnson’s support for Trump.

This move by Mike Johnson just helped Jack Smith’s quest to put Trump in jail when he stabbed Donald Trump in the back with this vote.

Johnson is helping Jack Smith put Trump in jail

Mike Johnson was saved by an attempt to oust him from the speakership with the help of 163 Democrats.

The motion to vacate was introduced by Marjorie Taylor Greene after Johnson abandoned his conservative positions.

Johnson pushed through Joe Biden’s $1.2 trillion government spending bill that fully funded open borders and transgender ideology through Congress.

Johnson also cast the deciding vote to continue to allow the Biden Administration to warrantlessly spy on Americans.

He also pushed through a massive foreign aid bill that included a $61 billion taxpayer-funded bailout for Ukraine to Biden’s desk for signature.

Greene had one question after Democrats helped Johnson hang on to the gavel.

“What slimy back-room deal did Johnson make for the Democrats’ support?” Greene wrote on social media.

Johnson has shown himself to be Joe Biden’s speaker

Greene met with Johnson to try to talk some sense into him before filing her motion.

One thing she asked was for Johnson to defund Jack Smith’s witch hunt against Donald Trump.

That seemed like an easy thing to get through.

Johnson had railed against the weaponization of the justice system against Trump.

But Johnson was just putting on a show.

He told POLITICO that he had no intention of using the power of the purse to stop Jack Smith’s quest to send Trump to prison.

“That’s not something you wave a wand and just eliminate the special counsel as a provision,” Johnson replied.

Johnson claimed Jack Smith’s politically motivated prosecution of Donald Trump was a “necessary function.”

“There is a necessity for a function like that, because sometimes the Department of Justice — which is an executive branch agency — can’t necessarily, without a conflict of interest, investigate or prosecute the president who’s their boss, or the president’s family,” Johnson added.

Even the media is shocked by Johnson’s betrayal

Even the leftists at POLITICO were shocked that Johnson wants to continue to fund Jack Smith’s witch hunt.

Reporters asked Johnson if he would support defunding Jack Smith’s prosecution, and he replied simply, “no.”

Greene posted his response on X.

“Mike Johnson when asked if he will stop the witch hunt that aims to throw President Trump in jail FOR LIFE!” Greene wrote on X.

Trump Responds

Trump said he didn’t support ousting Johnson as Speaker at this time, saying all effort should be focused on defeating Joe Biden in November.

But he didn’t exactly give the Speaker a ringing endorsement, and suggested that ousting Johnson might be something Republicans should tackle after the election.

“At some point, we may very well be, but this is not the time,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

“I also wish certain things were done over the last period of two months, but we will get them done, together,” Trump continued.

Johnson’s betrayal is certainly something Trump will not soon forget.
