Terrorists just don’t care about the damage they inflict on innocent people.

And the threat of terrorism doesn’t just exist in Israel or in other foreign countries, it is here too.

Now this important U.S. intelligence member just issued a very chilling assessment of the problem to every American.

FBI director warns of possible terrorist attack

FBI Director Christopher Wray has been sounding the alarm about potential terror attacks on the United States for some time now, and he just issued yet another warning.

According to Wray, foreign adversaries and terrorist groups are looking toward the U.S., planning to target cyber operations while using “mafia-like” tactics in an “increasingly concerning” way.

During a speech given at the American Bar Association in Washington, D.C., Wray said the FBI is working to prevent a coordinated attack or attacks from terrorist groups like ISIS-K, an affiliate of ISIS.

Wray said, “Foreign terrorists, including ISIS, al-Qaida, and their adherents, have renewed calls for attacks against Jewish communities here in the United States and across the West in statements and propaganda. The foreign terrorist threat and the potential for a coordinated attack here in the homeland, like the ISIS-K attack we saw at the Russian Concert Hall a couple [of] weeks ago, is now increasingly concerning. October 7 and the conflict that’s followed will feed a pipeline of radicalization and mobilization for years to come.”

Other experts are also predicting that ISIS will attempt to carry out some kind of attack on the United States.

Last month, retired General Frank McKenzie told ABC News This Week co-anchor Martha Raddatz, “We should believe them when they say that. They’re going to try to do it.”

The threats come from more than just ISIS alone

During his speech, Wray also mentioned that there are other threats seen and unseen from bad actors from countries like Russia, China, North Korea, and Iran, noting that Russia is targeting “underwater cables” that are vital to global communications.

“The Russian government continues to invest heavily in their cyber operations, in part because they see cyber as an asymmetric weapon to keep up with us. Russia continues to target critical infrastructure — including underwater cables and industrial control systems both in the United States and around the world. Since its unprovoked invasion of Ukraine, we’ve seen Russia conducting reconnaissance on the U.S. energy sector. Adding to that concern is that the Russians — like our other adversaries — don’t care if their cyber campaigns affect civilians,” he said.

Wray also noted that the Chinese government “plays the long game” and that the country is “throwing its whole government at undermining the security and economy of the rule-of-law world.”

The FBI Director also said, “The consequences of tying our hands are not merely hypothetical.”

He also noted that cutting the FBI’s budget would help people like child predators, violent criminals, cyber hackers, and more.
