Joy Reid just admitted that DEI is the reason for the Trump indictments

MSNBC host Joy Reid is arguably the most unhinged, race-obsessed talking head on cable news.

While she attacks white people who use DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) as a negative term, she gets to embrace it as a positive when she wants to.

Now Joy Reid just admitted that DEI is the secret reason for nearly all the Trump indictments.

MSNBC doesn’t make any secret that it doesn’t like Donald Trump or, seemingly, anyone else who doesn’t subscribe to the network’s worldview.

Last month, in a bizarre rant posted to TikTok, Reid suggested that white people say “DEI” [Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion] because they lack the courage to use the N-word.

As a point of fact, DEI has become a motto for leftists in their increasingly strident demands placed on hiring managers across the country.

The toxic ideology that favors discrimination based on race has led conservative governments like Florida and Texas to ban such programs from college campuses.

Evidently, Reid’s aversion to the use of the term has gone away.

On the Monday edition of her MSNBC show, the television host praised the black officials prosecuting Donald Trump, saying, “My DEIs are bringing it home.”

The first person to criminally prosecute Trump has been the black Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg

Reid believes this to be a “wonderfully poetic” situation.

Reid peddles racialist poison

Reid said, “For me, there is something wonderfully poetic about the fact … the first person to actually criminally prosecute Donald Trump is a Black Harvard grad. The very kind of person that his former staff, the people who worked for him, Steven Miller, etc., want to never be at Harvard Law School. But he was. And he came out and graduated, and he’s prosecuting you, Donald.”

She continued, “And a Black woman [District Attorney Fani Willis] is doing that same exact thing in Georgia and a Black woman [New York Attorney General Letitia James] forced you to pay a $175 million fine. Donald Trump is being held to account by the very multicultural, multiracial democracy that he’s trying to dismantle … It says something good about our country that we’re still capable of having that happen. Go, DEI. My DEIs are bringing it home.”

If this sounds like racialist poison, that’s because it is.

Given her crowing, you’d think she’d be happy at the prospect of the former President facing multiple indictments, but it appears that Joy Reid simply doesn’t have the capacity to live up to her given name.

In her telling, Trump was “outdoing actual mobsters” by criticizing the judge on his hush money case, noting one of Trump’s lawyers had mobster Benny Eggs as a client.

She then lamented, “So Donald Trump is at this point outdoing actual mobsters in his attacks on the judge’s family, the daughter. He knows he will never spend a day, a second, a moment in prison.”

If her assertions are correct that Trump’s eventual imprisonment is unlikely, it won’t be for lack of trying by political leftists.

American voters aren’t buying it

There’s every indication that the public sees all these court cases as political persecution run amok.

According to recent polling by the Associated Press, only 3 in 10 Americans feel that any of the prosecutors who have brought charges against Trump are treating the former President fairly.

Worse yet, only 2 in 10 Americans are extremely or very confident that the judges and jurors in the cases against him can be fair and impartial.

The radicals, cheered on by the likes of Reid, are overreaching, and they may well find that it comes at a cost on Election Day.
