Every major poll now shows that more than 85% of Americans believe President Joe Biden is too old to serve another term in the White House.
And for good reason.
Ever since he took office, Biden’s exceedingly rare public appearances have highlighted his significant physical and cognitive decline.
And Special Counsel Robert Hur’s investigation into Biden’s classified documents scandal has put the Democrat President’s age and mental defects back in the headlines.
The shocking report concluded that while Biden had mishandled classified documents going back to his days in the Senate, Hur suggested that because of Biden’s advanced age and difficulty remembering basic information, no jury would convict him out of sympathy.
Last October, Hur conducted a two-day interview with Biden in which bombshell revelations about his cognitive decline were put on full display.
Biden couldn’t even remember what years he served as Vice President or even what year his beloved son, Beau, died from brain cancer.
The written transcripts of Hur’s interview were released, but the Biden Justice Department refused to release the audio recordings of the interview to House Republicans, brazenly admitting that it would be politically damaging to the Democrat President.
“The absence of a legitimate need for the audio recordings lays bare your likely goal — to chop them up, distort them, and use them for partisan political purposes,” White House Counsel Ed Siskel wrote House Republicans.
Of course, the Biden regime wouldn’t refuse to hand them over if the tapes were not damaging for the Democrat President.
Biden cited executive privilege to try and prevent the release of the recordings.
Justice Department altered Biden interview transcripts
Government watchdog group Judicial Watch and various media groups sued the Biden Justice Department to get ahold of the audio recordings of Hur’s interview with Biden.
A court filing from that case revealed that the written transcripts of Biden’s interview were manipulated to make him appear more coherent.
The Biden Justice Department admitted that it had altered Biden’s transcripts, claiming it had only removed supposed filler words like “um.”
“The transcript is not accurate and was changed in a way to help Biden,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said. “There is nothing ordinary about this, and the transcript inaccuracy issues seem to help Biden’s political campaign needs.”
The Biden Justice Department also told the court that the audio recordings of Biden’s interview couldn’t be released because of the supposed threat of deep fakes from artificial intelligence (AI).
“The passage of time and advancements in audio, artificial intelligence, and ‘deep fake’ technologies only amplify concerns about malicious manipulation of audio files. If the audio recording is released here, it is easy to foresee that it could be improperly altered, and that the altered file could be passed off as an authentic recording and widely distributed,” the Justice Department stated.
But of course, Biden’s voice is already widely available in the public for anyone to use with AI – a tech-savvy teenager could literally produce an AI-deep fake of the audio recordings Biden wants to keep hidden within a few hours.
The Biden Justice Department is merely using this absurd excuse because it wants those recordings kept hidden at all costs.
Whatever is on those recordings has the Biden regime absolutely terrified of them being released to the public.
And that’s what is keeping Merrick Garland up at night.
