Famous fitness guru leaves California over things getting “too crazy”

A lot of famous people, from Joe Rogan to Sylvester Stallone, have fled the state of California since the pandemic lockdowns.

But now the biggest reason that people are fleeing from the liberal state is due to all the insane regulations, taxes, and crime.

Now, a world-famous fitness guru has also left California, saying that things have simply gotten “too crazy.”

Jillian Michaels explains why she left California

Not only is Jillian Michaels a skilled professional fitness trainer who starred on NBC’s The Biggest Loser, but she’s also a California native.

However, the star has officially left her home state and is now explaining why she left after things got “too crazy.”

Michaels has laid down roots in Miami, Florida, far from the West Coast insanity, but she was born in Los Angeles.

She has now revealed why she decided to move during a recent interview on The Sage Steele Show.

“Some of these laws that are passing here are absolutely mind-boggling, in relation to crime, protecting our kids. We’re decriminalizing everything, which I would probably be okay with – but we’re not regulating any of it,” she said.

“This my parting line. I grew up here, I’m a woman, I’m a gay woman, my mom is a Jew, my dad is an Arab, I have a black kid, and believe it or not, my son is half Latin, even though he doesn’t look it,” she went on.

Then, Michaels noted that she holds “a million cards in your game of woke victimology poker. When I leave California, maybe you’ve lost your mind. Just maybe!”

The fitness trainer also said that when you have someone like her running from their home state, “maybe it has gone way too far.”

She also noted that she took a similar stance as that of Elon Musk, adding, “I actually haven’t changed, the world around me is shifting and I haven’t moved.”

Michaels seemed particularly shocked about California’s stance on allowing children to receive “gender-affirming care.”

“The fact that a 12-year-old child can be put on off-label cancer drugs to irreparably change their body. If my son came to me and said, ‘Mom’ – or my daughter – ‘I think I’m trans’ I’d say okay, you know, like, you want to dress this way,” she said.

She then said she didn’t mind if her children wanted her to call them “whatever the heck [they] want,” adding, “I’m cool, do you as long as we’re safe, but we’re not changing your body until it’s fully developed. I’m sorry. Conversation’s over.”

Michaels said it’s “madness” in California

Perhaps Michaels’ most scathing take on her former state was the sentiment, “It’s insane. Like, I just can’t, it’s madness. It’s madness to me. I could go on and on and on, and it’s madness.”

This is not the first time the famous fitness trainer has spoken up about her now-former state of residence.

In February, Michaels had an interview with Bill Maher on his Club Random podcast.

During the interview, she expressed her outrage over inflation and said that living in Florida was “less crazy” than living in California.
