Wonder Bread announced it will strengthen its partnership with the USO by extending its annual “Deploy the Joy” campaign through 2026, reaffirming the company’s commitment to supporting military service members and their families.
Since 2018, Wonder Bread has partnered with the USO to provide programs that help keep service members connected with their loved ones throughout their military journey. By the end of 2026, Wonder will have donated $3,350,000 to the USO since the partnership began.
“Through this partnership, Wonder Bread helps spread joy with the most delicious and nostalgic products, while giving back to our American heroes,” said Ashley Smith, director of brand management for Wonder. “Wonder proudly stands behind the red, white, and blue, and is honored to give back and recognize those who give everything for our country.”
The iconic bread company’s patriotic campaign runs from April 13 to September 6 and features new products, exciting giveaways, and events designed to honor America’s military families.

As part of the national campaign, Wonder has introduced a new Mini Loaf, a 12-slice version of its Classic White Bread, designed for smaller households to reduce waste while maintaining the brand’s signature quality.
Just two slices of this soft, delicious bread pack as much calcium as an 8-ounce glass of milk. The Mini Loaf hit store shelves in early April wrapped in eye-catching red, white, and blue packaging with the USO logo front and center.
The patriotic packaging serves as a visible reminder of Wonder Bread’s commitment to supporting those who serve our country.
Wonder Bread sponsors massive giveaway for military families
The campaign also includes a $10,000 Backyard Makeover Sweepstakes, which will provide one lucky family with the ultimate backyard transformation.
Additionally, through their donation to the USO, 10 service members will receive brand-new, high-quality grills, bringing more joy to backyard barbecues for military families across the country.
Consumers can enter the sweepstakes via QR codes found on Wonder products, including the Wonder Classic 20 oz. Loaf, Wonder 8-Count Hamburger Buns, and Wonder 8-Count Hotdog Buns. People can also enter the sweepstakes at DeployTheJoy.com.
Wonder Bread celebrates Fleet Week with the USO
Wonder Bread is also sponsoring USO events at Fleet Week in New York City and Los Angeles from May 23-26, 2025.

In addition, Wonder and the USO will host an All-American barbecue event at Fort Sill in Oklahoma, bringing service members and their families together for a shared meal, appreciation, and community building.
