The Washington, D.C. establishment had a meltdown when word got out that Tucker Carlson was in Moscow.

When it became clear that he was doing a long interview with Putin, the media had a complete meltdown.

But when word leaked that Tucker was also interviewing these two people, the Swamp Creatures started sweating profusely.

Carlson talks with Edward Snowden and Tara Reade

According to media outlet Semafor, Tucker Carlson met with former NSA employee and whistleblower Edward Snowden and with Biden accuser Tara Reade while he was in Moscow.

Snowden was granted asylum in Russia in 2013 after he leaked a massive trove of classified National Security (NSA) documents.

He was granted permanent resident status in Russia in 2020 and announced his decision to seek dual citizenship that same year.

According to Snowden, he did so because “after years of separation from our parents, my wife and I have no desire to be separated from our son.”

Allegedly, Carlson sat down and talked with Snowden for several hours; however, it was not for content on his online network.

However, Carlson also met with Tara Reade, the former Senate aide who accused Joe Biden of sexual assault, even though Carlson was skeptical of her allegations back in 2020.

Reade moved to Russia after she publicly stated that she supported Russian policies.

In 2022, the Russian UN delegation called on Reade to speak regarding “weapons diversion,” and she also had Russia’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN make an appearance on her YouTube channel.

The interview with Reade was recorded and will likely be uploaded to Carlson’s online streaming service, The Tucker Carlson Network at some point.

Carlson has been under heavy criticism after clinching the interview with Vladimir Putin, which was his main reason for traveling to Moscow.

The interview was released online and started with a lengthy bit of commentary from Putin discussing Russian and Ukrainian history.

Some claim Carlson’s trip is a trick

There’s little doubt that Tucker Carlson managed to talk to some very interesting people during his time in Russia.

But exiled Russian businessman and opposition leader Mikhail Khodorkovsky noted on the social media platform X that Carlson is part of a calculated plan by the Kremlin to get Western approval.

The former oligarch wrote, “It needs Western approval. This is why, for example, Russian propagandists have taken to writing pro-Putin comments under articles on Western news sites under assumed European and American names, then reprinting them as ‘Western opinions.’ This is where Tucker Carlson comes in. He’s been complimentary of Putin for years, even as the dictator became persona non grata among the broader Western public. So, when he visited Moscow, he got the superstar treatment.”

Khodorkovsky also said that Carlson’s visit “has received more media coverage than any visiting world leader or celebrity in years. His every move was portrayed as a matter of national importance – all because he satisfies the regime’s need for approval from the West.”

POLITICO journalist Jamie Dettmer wrote, “Tucker Carlson is far from being the first Western journalist to have aligned himself with the enemy. There’s a long tradition of the likes of Hitler and Stalin finding pliable Brits and Americans to do their propaganda for them.”
