This Joe Biden appointee just shocked the Washington, D.C. establishment by admitting she lied to Congress

Joe Biden’s administration is packed with some very woke-committed leftists.

The Biden team has some of the most radical progressives ever to serve in government and they have weaponized parts of the government against American citizens.

But this official was only confirmed by the Senate because she lied during her confirmation hearing and that lie may cost her the job.

Kristen Clarke, an Assistant Attorney General at Biden’s weaponized Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division, was one of many controversial Joe Biden appointments.

While she was in college, Clarke wrote about how white people were genetically inferior and she invited radical speakers to campus.

Despite her questionable and racist past, Clarke was confirmed by the U.S. Senate.

But it has now been revealed that Clarke lied during her confirmation hearing.

Lies about her criminal past

Clarke was asked in a questionnaire by Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) if she had “ever been arrested for or accused of committing a violent crime against any person.”

Clarke responded simply, “No.”

However, that was a complete lie.

In 2006, Clarke was arrested for violently attacking her then-husband with a knife, allegedly slicing his finger to the bone.

Two years after Clarke’s messy divorce was finalized, she had the arrest expunged from her record.

Under Maryland state law, it is not entirely clear if applicants have a duty to disclose expunged arrest records, but the non-profit organization, Maryland Legal Aid, advised that it was prudent to do so.

It is normally especially prudent to do so when seeking Senate approval for a federal appointment.

Considering Clarke’s lie in her testimony before the U.S. Senate, a group of Republican Senators have now called for Clarke to resign.

Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) recently wrote on social media, “Kristen Clarke is in charge of enforcing civil rights laws. She enforces those laws aggressively against anyone who sneezes near an abortion clinic. And not at all against those who vandalize churches. She lied under oath during her confirmation proceedings, and should resign.”

Lee is absolutely right.

Clarke has aggressively pursued peaceful pro-life and Christian activists with civil rights violations.

Lee added, “She lied under oath to mask her arrest for committing a violent crime, yet she zealously prosecutes peaceful pro-life protesters.”

Trying to claim a victim narrative

After the calls for her to resign, Clarke came forward and finally admitted that she lied.

However, Clarke is now claiming that she was the victim of domestic violence.

Clarke wrote in a statement, “Nearly 2 decades ago, I was subjected to years-long abuse and domestic violence at the hands of my ex-husband. . .This was a terrorizing and traumatizing period that I have sought to put behind me to promote my personal health, healing and well-being. The physical and emotional scars, the emotional abuse and exploitation, and the lying are things that no woman or mother should ever have to endure.”

Clarke’s ex-husband, Reginald Avery, has yet to comment, but he could dig the hole even deeper for her if he denies her account.

And of course, none of this changes the fact that Clarke has been caught in a lie, a lie that should exclude her from the Department of Justice.
