California’s high taxes and woke policies are pushing many people to leave their home state.

The rise of homelessness and rampant crime is just making it impossible for people to live in the state.

Now even Rocky has thrown in the towel and is giving up on California.

Sylvester Stallone is out of California

When it comes to popular celebrities, there’s no one quite as recognizable as movie star Sylvester Stallone.

The Rocky star just announced that he and his wife, Jennifer Flavin Stallone, are moving to Florida for the season 2 premiere of the Paramount+ show, The Family Stallone.

The couple told their three daughters that they have plans to move to the Sunshine State.

Stallone said, “After long, hard consideration, your mother and I have decided, time to move on and leave the state of California permanently, and we’re going to Florida.”

“We’re gonna sell the house. We already have the place, it’s a done deal,” he told his daughters Scarlet, Sistine, and Sophia.

A lot of people were ecstatic to hear the news after the episode aired, including Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ wife Casey.

Casey DeSantis posted on the social media platform X, writing, “Welcome to the Free State of Florida! In addition to respecting and protecting your God-given, constitutional right to be free, you can also buy toothpaste without having an armed guard in CVS unlock it for you.”

The post was followed by an uplifting hands emoji to punctuate her joy at the announcement.

According to People Magazine, the famous couple decided to leave California because they became empty nesters once their three daughters moved out of the family home.

During the episode, Stallone’s wife Jennifer said, “I raised all three of our daughters in California. Everything is a memory to me, memories of them not being there anymore. So, I need a big change and Sly went along with it.”

For his part, Sylvester Stallone said that it took some time for him to agree to the move.

“We have a lot of roots in California, so it’s not an easy transition to Florida. But, Jennifer really had her heart set on it. I gave in,” he said.

Moving onward and upward

In December, Flavin spoke to Fox News Digital about their decision to move, saying it was “an incredible move, I have to say I’m really happy with our move and our change.”

She continued, “I was born and raised there, two of our kids were born there, but now everyone’s out, our daughters moved to the East Coast… so there wasn’t really anything left for me in California. A few of our best friends also moved, so I think it’s [a] good change, just making new friends, living a totally different lifestyle.”

The star’s wife did say that she loved California, but she “just needed a change.”

“I felt like I’ve been there long enough, and life is short, so I wanted to make a change and not just be sitting in one house the rest of my life,” she added.
