Entertainers have been expressing open love for Satan in their work in recent years, and rapper Lil Nas X was one of them.

But the rapper now says he’s trying to change his ways.

But Christians aren’t buying it and he’s facing extreme backlash following his latest release.

Lil Nas X made good content before he went astray

In 2018, Lil Nas X shot up the charts when he released the song “Old Town Road.”

The ballad was a unique blend of country and rap music that some call country rap.

It featured Billy Ray Cyrus and sat atop the Hot 100 for over 4 months.

The music video earned Lil Nas X a Grammy for Best Music Video in 2020.

In 2021, the rapper went onto release another single “Montero” or “Call Me by Your Name.”

The song topped “Old Town Road” with over 2.6 million digital sales.

But America wasn’t ready for the music video that came along with it.

In the music video, the rapper was seen serenading Satan with a sexually explicit lap dance.

Americans were outraged by the content and called for a boycott of his song.

Now, he claims that he is trying to change his ways.

New song will be “dedicated” to Jesus

In November, the rapper shocked the world again announcing the beginning of his “Christian era.”

In a post on social media, he asked the world if they “mind” him making this change, while publishing a new song called “Angels.”

Christians immediately jumped on him for “blasphemy,” due to his previous outrage generating materials.

Now, people are seeing where Lil Nas X was really headed with the November post.

“MY NEW SINGLE IS DEDICATED TO THE MAN WHO HAD THE GREATEST COMEBACK OF ALL TIME!”, he wrote on social media earlier this month.

Depicting himself being crucified, the internet went ablaze.

Candace Owens pointed to the appropriation of Christian symbolism and accused him of trying to cash in on “outrage.”

Continuing to feed into the online backlash, Lil Nas X released more imagery to point to the release of his single entitled “J Christ.”

One showed the crucifix transforming around him like a set of armor.

Yet Lil Nas X was insistent that he was trying to make a change.

Lil Nas makes wild claim that he is going to study the Bible

Responding to someone who said that he was doing “parody,” he said that people “talk just to talk.”

“If anybody knows me as an artist yall know I put my life and soul into everything I do. The entire Montero album was be being vulnerable…”

Lil Nas X also claims that he plans on attending seminary school in the fall.

“I know twitter hates me right now but I want yall to know im literally about to go to college for biblical studies in the fall. Not everything is a troll!! Anyways IM A STUDENT AGAIN! LETS GOOO!”

The problem with this announcement was that he shared a letter of acceptance from Liberty University that was signed by the late Jerry Falwell.

In the letter, it says that it is now his “time to train as a Champion for Christ.”
