Kamala Harris’ late entry changed the political dynamics of the election.

Everyone is trying to get a read on the state of play.

And Megyn Kelly was shocked when a Democrat gave her this damning message about 2024.

Top Democrat data guru says hold your horses on Kamala Harris

Vice President Kamala Harris has been the beneficiary of a public relations campaign that has never been seen before after she entered the race.

Democrats and their media allies turned on a dime from treating her like a joke to acting like she’s a transcendent political figure in the mold of former President Barack Obama.

Kamala has surged in the polls against former President Donald Trump nationally and in the swing states that will decide the election.

Now, she has a narrow lead in most national polls.

Democrats are dreaming big now that they’re no longer saddled with President Joe Biden as their candidate.

The hype around Kamala has some of them dreaming about a landslide victory this November.

But Democrat polling guru Nate Silver burst their bubble during an interview with former Fox News host Megyn Kelly on her SiriusXM show.

He said the Presidential race is still a “coin flip” right now.

“The polls can be off. They were off in 2016 and 2020,” Silver explained. “In 2020, Biden had a big enough lead in the polls that he held on, but they were off by four or five points in states like Wisconsin.”

Biden won Wisconsin in the 2020 Election by about 20,000 votes after some polls had him up as much as seven or eight points.

The race is going to have twists and turns

Kelly noted that Republicans are getting worried about Trump’s chances after it looked like he had the race in the bag coming out of the Republican National Convention.

But politics is like a game of basketball.

Each side gets a chance to score and respond.

The Left is riding high after a rough July after President Joe Biden’s campaign imploded after the first debate.

“Democrats may be getting a little carried away here,” Silver explained. “Kamala Harris is going to have her convention . . .  and typically, that produces a further boost in the polling. So, I think August will remain rough month for the GOP.”

But the race will start to change after Labor Day.

“In September, she will face a different type of pressure. The pressure of being a perceived frontrunner potentially can be more difficult. Being an underdog is a powerful kind of constituent or powerful meme in American politics. It’s a sympathetic situation and in some ways, it’s a great story,” Silver said.

Kamala’s surge has been powered by the media and newfound Democrat enthusiasm about the election.

But Republicans are going to get their chance to score some points against her.

MAGA Inc. – the main super PAC backing Trump – is running a $100 million ad blitz in the swing states until Labor Day to drive Kamala’s negatives.

Trump and his allies are going on the offensive to swing the momentum back in their favor.
