White House Press Office refuses to answer reporters with pronouns in email signatures
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt is making waves for her no-nonsense approach to dealing with the liberal media.
According to a report by The New York Times, Leavitt and the Trump White House press office are now refusing to respond to reporters who include their preferred pronouns in their email signatures.
“As a matter of policy, we do not respond to reporters with pronouns in their bios,” Leavitt told a New York Times reporter who had inquired about a climate research observatory, according to Fox News.
The Press Secretary didn’t mince words about why this policy exists.
“Any reporter who chooses to put their preferred pronouns in their bio clearly does not care about biological reality or truth and therefore cannot be trusted to write an honest story,” Leavitt told The New York Times.
White House Communications Director Steven Cheung also weighed in, delivering a blistering critique of The New York Times.
“If The New York Times spent the same amount of time actually reporting the truth as they do being obsessed with pronouns, maybe they would be a half-decent publication,” Cheung said.
Department of Government Efficiency enforces the same standard
It’s not just Leavitt enforcing this commonsense policy across the administration.
Katie Miller, a senior adviser at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), reportedly gave a similar response when a pronoun-displaying reporter asked about DOGE records.
“As a matter of policy, I don’t respond to people who use pronouns in their signatures as it shows they ignore scientific realities and therefore ignore facts,” Miller told the reporter, according to The New York Times.
Miller added in a separate message that “This applies to all reporters who have pronouns in their signature.”
Desperate journalists try to test the policy
Some journalists are so desperate to get a response from the Trump White House that they’re running “experiments” to see if the pronouns policy is real.
Matt Berg, a reporter with the left-wing outlet Crooked Media, deliberately added pronouns to his email signature just to see if the White House would deny his question.
He received the same response as other pronoun-displaying reporters.
“I find it baffling that they care more about pronouns than giving journalists accurate information, but here we are,” Berg complained to The New York Times.
Trump administration stands strong on biological reality
The Trump administration has been consistent in its approach to gender identity issues throughout the President’s second term.
Since returning to office, President Trump has signed executive orders banning transgender individuals from serving in the U.S. military, barring biological males from competing in women’s sports, and removing gender identity language throughout the federal government.
These policies align with the administration’s commitment to biological reality and common sense.
A spokesperson for The New York Times criticized the press office’s policy, calling it “both a concerning and baffling choice, especially from the highest press office in the U.S. government.”
When Fox News Digital reached out to the White House press office for comment, Leavitt stood firm and repeated her earlier statement.
