Kamala Harris desperately trying not to fumble
Democrats launched Kamala Harris for President about as well as they could have.
A few short months ago, Harris was considered a massive liability, and there was open talk of replacing her on the ticket for 2024.
But after six weeks of overwhelming media propaganda, Harris is now being sold as a messianic political figure.
And polling data reflects the big shift.
According to the RealClearPolitics national polling average, Trump led Kamala by nearly 3 points in the national popular vote on July 15.
However, as of August 18, the same polling average shows that Harris is leading Trump nationally by almost 2 points.
The polls swung five points in Harris’ favor.
Her speaking events suggest that Democrats are energized by simply having a live candidate instead of a decrepit one who struggles to read from a teleprompter.
Look no further than the gargantuan $310 million in donations Harris’ campaign raked in during the month of July.
And that was basically a mere ten-day haul because Biden dropped out late in the month.
But Harris’ momentum could be stunted by the person who’s still her boss, Joe Biden.
Biden-Harris regime has been a disaster
Democrats are working overtime to create separation between Harris and the Biden administration.
That’s why Trump and the Republicans are showing that Harris has been tied to Biden’s hip.
Joe Biden himself called it the “Biden-Harris administration.”
He even said that he would defer to Harris if the two ever had a disagreement.
But among the press corps, only Peter Doocy of Fox News is linking Harris to the current administration.
During a recent press event, Doocy had a chance to ask White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre a question.
And Doocy took full advantage of the opportunity.
“The Vice President’s team is not holding any press briefings,” Doocy started. “You are left to answer everything for her even though you are not the Vice President’s press secretary. Is that getting old?”
Jean-Pierre took the bait and tied Harris to the current administration.
She said, “I’m the White House press secretary as you all know, obviously, for the president, for this administration, for the Biden-Harris administration. . .It is an honor and privilege… to stand before you to be able to do that job. And I will do it as long as I can right to the end of this term. I am proud to be standing here at this podium, behind this lectern on behalf of the Biden-Harris administration.”
The last thing Harris needs is to be tied to this failed administration.
A few more press conferences like that, and the American people will realize that Harris is just a continuation of Biden’s failed policies.
