FBI Director elevates #BlueAnon hoax
Donald Trump came inches away from getting murdered on live television in front of millions of people around the world.
It didn’t take long for Democrats to begin trafficking in left-wing BlueAnon conspiracy theories.
MSNBC and online leftists floated the idea that Trump might not have been shot.
Unhinged host Joy Reid and Never-Trumper and former RNC chairman Michael Steele waded into that territory.
Reid said, “We still don’t know for sure whether Donald Trump was hit by a bullet, whether he was hit by glass fragments, whether he was hit by shrapnel — we don’t have those details.”
Representative Ronny Jackson (R-TX), Trump’s former White House doctor, checked him out the day after the shooting and confirmed that his ear was grazed with a bullet.
However, that did not satisfy deranged leftists like former ESPN and MSNBC host Keith Olbermann.
“In brief: Ronny Jackson isn’t a doctor. Which is perfect, because Trump wasn’t hit by a bullet,” Olbermann wrote.
The Internet hoax was given legs when FBI Director Christopher Wray made an asinine statement during a Congressional hearing.
“I think with respect to former President Trump there’s some question about whether or not it’s a bullet or shrapnel that, you know, hit his ear,” Wray declared in testimony to the House Judiciary Committee.
The FBI walked back Wray’s reckless testimony by putting out a statement, but Wray never apologized for giving oxygen to the BlueAnon fake news.
John Kennedy unloads on the FBI
Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) was none too pleased with Wray’s testimony.
The colorful Senator laid into FBI Deputy Director Paul Abbate during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing.
Kennedy asked, “Is there any doubt in your mind, or in the collective mind of the FBI, that President Trump was shot in the ear by a bullet fired by the assassin Crooks?”
Abbate replied, “Senator, there’s absolutely no doubt in the FBI’s mind whether former President Trump was hit with a bullet and wounded in the ear. No doubt, there never has been . . . I’ve been part of this investigation since the very beginning, and that has never been raised.”
Abbate seemed ignorant of what his boss said days earlier.
Kennedy asked, “It wasn’t a space laser? It wasn’t a murder hornet? It wasn’t Sasquatch?”
Abbate answered “no” to each question.
Kennedy continued, “It was a bullet? Fired by Crooks? That hit President Trump in the ear and almost killed him?”
“100% percent, Senator,” Abbate responded.
Kennedy said that he was “glad” that the hoax was corrected.
FBI Director Christopher Wray is the epitome of the establishment Republican that despises Trump.
Wray knows that he is out of a job if Trump gets back in the White House.
