J.D. Vance let the wind out of the Democrats’ sails on abortion
Fox News host Laura Ingraham asked Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH) about how the conventional wisdom in the so-called media is that the only issue that suburban women care about is taxpayer-funded abortions-on-demand.
Ingraham started, “Senator, one of my dear friends, tonight said to me, well, all these suburban women, all these suburban women, all they care about is abortion.”
Ingraham explained that there was a fundamental misunderstanding of the Dobbs case that overturned Roe v. Wade, as all it did was remove the courts from the process.
“And they don’t understand that decision is with the states now. It’s not banned nationally. Even if some people wanted to be banned nationally, it’s with the states. What do you say to suburban women out there who are marinating in this propaganda?” Ingraham questioned.
Vance explained the flaw in that thought process.
He argued that female swing voters cared about the same issues as anyone else: crime, illegal immigration, and the economy.
Vance said, “Well, first of all, I don’t buy that, Laura . . . I think most suburban women care about the normal things that most Americans care about. Right? They care about inflation. They care about the price of groceries. They care about public safety in the streets where their kids play.”

Vance then told Ingraham that Trump believed abortion was a state issue, not a federal issue.
But the Democrats wanted taxpayer-funded abortions with absolutely no restrictions.
“Look, as Donald Trump has said, he wants the American people at the state level to decide abortion policy,” Vance continued.
“And you compare that to the Democrats who want to do nationalized, taxpayer-funded abortion up to the moment of birth. I think Donald Trump is actually trying to identify the reasonable compromise where he lets California figure out its abortion policy. Alabama and Ohio figure out their abortion policy. That is actually the common sense approach, and it’s the approach that’s most respectful of the American people,” Vance added.
Kamala Harris confirmed Vance’s argument with her selection of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate.
As Governor, Walz removed a state requirement for doctors to try and save babies born alive following a botched abortion.
Thanks to Walz, eight babies were left to die after being born alive before the state repealed the requirement to report on such cases.
Vance correctly said this showed that Harris and Walz were the true extremists on the abortion question.
Vance concluded, “The Democrats are obsessed with late-term abortion and making sure taxpayers fund it.”
