California is responding to the crisis by coming up with a plan to help illegal aliens who are first-time homebuyers.
A bill that passed the California State Legislature makes illegal aliens eligible for up to $150,000 in state-backed down payment help.
Attorney Leo Terrell – an ally of former President Donald Trump – and real estate investor Grant Cardone slammed the move during an appearance on Fox Business’ Varney & Co.
“It’s window dressing, but it sends a message to illegals: ‘Come to California, we’re going to take care of you.’ It makes no sense whatsoever,” Terrell said. “They’re treating illegals like American citizens and reaping the benefits as an American.”
The bill made illegal aliens eligible for the California Dream for All program.

Cardone called the bill a marketing gimmick.
“It’s an old gimmick in marketing. We make a promise we can’t deliver. Don’t do your due diligence. Come to the dealership. It’s a $99 payment. You walk out with $700,” Cardone explained. “The $25,000 tax credit. That’s bogus baloney, too. You can get that from a builder right now. This is just window dressing, as you say, for an election in hopes to get votes.”
Cardone referenced the proposal by Vice President Kamala Harris to give all first-time homebuyers $25,000 in down payment assistance.
U.S. Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH) slammed Kamala’s plan as another excuse to help illegal aliens.
Democrats are offering everything under the sun to anyone who walks across the southern border.
Terrell warned that the law would only serve to draw more illegal aliens to California.
“This is a magnet for illegal aliens. Governor Newsom, if this bill gets to his desk, if he wants to have a political career in the future, he has to veto this, Stu. But I guarantee you, I don’t know what he’ll do. This is California,” Terrell said.
California continues to find new and shocking ways to put American citizens living in the state last.
This year the state made illegal aliens eligible for Medi-Cal, the state’s Medicaid program.
California also became the first state to cover transgender surgeries paid for by taxpayer money for illegal aliens.
The state has become the blueprint for the Democrat agenda.
