The dust still has not settled on the Democrat civil war that ended with Joe Biden on the side of the road.

But Donald Trump is prepared for whomever the Democrats throw at him.

And Trump put Kamala Harris on the ropes with one big election announcement.

Donald Trump switches things up with debate declaration

The June 27 debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden began a devastating series of events for the Democrats.

Trump exposed Biden’s cognitive decline in front of millions of people worldwide, and Biden had to drop out of the race under threat from Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama.

When Biden and Trump initially agreed on a debate schedule, ABC was set to be the second host network on September 10.

During a call with reporters, Trump said that since Biden abruptly ended his campaign, all previous deals on debates were null and void.

Trump said, “I haven’t agreed to anything. I agreed to a debate with Joe Biden.”

Trump, however, did say he would like to debate Harris and had previously offered to debate her on Fox News.

He added, “But I want to debate with her, and she’ll be no different because they have the same policies. I think debating is important for a presidential race, I really do. You sort of have an obligation to debate.”

Harris bumbling and stumbling

Fox News sent a letter to both Harris and Trump extending an invitation to host the debate on September 17.

Harris refused the Fox News invitation and instead wanted to hold to the old terms.

She said, “I have agreed to the previously agreed upon September 10 debate, he agreed to that previously.”

Harris wants the same deal that Biden got, but the circumstances have changed.

“Now it appears he’s backpedaling. But I’m ready. And I think that the voters deserve to see the split screen that exists in this race on a debate stage and so, I’m ready. Let’s go,” Harris continued.

Similar to Biden, Harris only wants to debate under the protection of left-wing moderates.

Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung responded by noting that the Democratic National Convention has not happened yet and the party could still choose to dump Harris.

For that reason, it did not make sense to commit to a debate with a candidate who may not even be at the top of the ticket.

The Trump campaign statement read, “Given the continued political chaos surrounding Crooked Joe Biden and the Democrat Party, general election debate details cannot be finalized until Democrats formally decide on their nominee.”

The statement added, “There is a strong sense by many in the Democrat Party — namely Barack Hussein Obama — that Kamala Harris is a Marxist fraud who cannot beat President Trump, and they are still holding out for someone ‘better.’ Therefore, it would be inappropriate to schedule things with Harris because Democrats very well could still change their minds.”

If Harris wants to get in the ring with Trump, she will have to negotiate a deal on her own terms, not Biden’s terms.
