Democrats used the DNC to spout tired platitudes.
They also fired many attacks at Donald Trump.
And Democrats made one accusation about Trump’s friends at Mar-a-Lago that had him steaming.
Democrats all across the country descended on Chicago for the 2024 Democrat National Convention.
The National Convention is typically where a party’s elite vote to officially select their Presidential and Vice Presidential nominees for the general election.
However, delegates already crowned Kamala Harris as the 2024 party nominee in a virtual roll call that took place earlier in the month.
This was done to make sure there were no messy convention challenges.
Even though the Harris coronation had already taken place, she officially accepted the nomination in her speech.
Joe Biden delivered the keynote speech on the first night of the convention late in the evening, a clear sign that he has been put out to pasture.
Of course, that is not how the media promoted the event.
CNN reported, “Democrats this week will enshrine one of the most audacious power plays in modern political history as they gather for a convention that was hastily reconfigured to try to vault Kamala Harris to a historic presidency. . .It begins with adulation for President Joe Biden, who will speak Monday night to a crowd grateful that he belatedly agreed to pass the torch.”
Delegates also voted on the party’s platform.
Prior to the convention, Democrats released a draft of the platform that delegates voted on at the convention.
And it was riddled with obvious mistakes, such as calling for Biden to be re-elected.
The platform said, “President Biden, Vice President Harris, and Democrats are running to finish the job.”
The switch to Harris happened so hastily and undemocratically that party functionaries could not clean up all of these errors in time.
Unsurprisingly, Democrats went all-in on “woke” extremism.
It began with a “land acknowledgment,” stating that Native Americans used to own the area where the convention was held.
The platform then falsely claimed that the Biden-Harris regime had been a smashing success for the United States.
It defended allowing young children to have irreversible “gender-affirming” surgeries and take sterilizing hormone treatments.
They wrote, “Democrats will vigorously oppose state and federal bans on gender-affirming health care.”
Since illegal immigration is a pressing issue, Democrats have attempted to portray Biden and Harris as border hawks.
The platform added, “President Biden has led with the conviction that we must secure our border and fix a broken immigration system decades in the making.”
The Democrats also could not hold back from attacking Donald Trump in their party platform.
They falsely accused him of “rigging our economy for his Mar-a-Lago friends and billionaire donors, who like him, are only in it for themselves.”
Democrats routinely claim that Trump only cares about himself.
But that argument does not hold water.
Trump is a wealthy grandfather.
He could be hosting The Apprentice or golfing every day.
However, he’s been taking relentless incoming fire from the media, the Deep State, and Democrat activists in the legal system.
Trump even took a bullet.
Yet Democrats want people to believe that he’s only in politics for himself.
