And Obama was fuming when he saw one joke Donald Trump told about Harris.
Harris’ campaign a badly-scripted movie
Kamala Harris spent her first three years in office being compared to Selina Meyer, the incompetent Vice President in the Showtime series Veep.
Harris was mocked for her penchant for gaffes, and there had been open talk that she needed to be replaced as Joe Biden’s running mate.
All of that changed when Biden was abruptly forced out of the Presidential race and endorsed Harris.
Five minutes ago, Harris was a historically unpopular Vice President who face-planted in the 2020 Democrat Primary, and she is still that same person.
Now Democrats and their media allies are trying to drag her across the finish line like they did Biden in the 2020 general election.
The press is openly cheerleading Harris’ campaign and refusing to report nary a critical thing.
While entertainment celebrities and paid online influencers have bent over backward to make the 59-year-old Harris look young and hip – the truth is, she is older than Bill Clinton and Barack Obama were when they left office after two terms.
There has been a concerted effort by the Left to portray Harris as the champion of Gen Z.
One moment that encapsulated the phoniness of Harris’ campaign was when the Obamas endorsed her.
The Obamas waited until every other bigwig in the Democrat Party got behind Harris.
The Harris campaign then dropped a video of Barack and Michelle Obama endorsing Harris via phone call where she acted surprised.
Trump mocks Harris’ staged Obama phone call
During a campaign stop in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania – his first in the state since the assassination attempt in Butler – Donald Trump called out the fakery of the Harris campaign.
Trump said that the “radical Left Democratic Party bosses have installed a puppet candidate to fight only for themselves.”
“Kamala Harris got zero votes,” Trump said. “She’s totally scripted, owned, and controlled by the donors and the power brokers who created her campaign. Who rip off our government and make billions and billions of dollars.”
“Unlike her, I cannot be bought and I cannot be controlled,” Trump added. “I have no interest in that.”
Trump lampooned the staged phone call with the Obamas.
He said, “Because everything about Kamala Harris’ roll out, it’s phony and it’s fake . . . Did you see when President Obama and Michelle called, ‘Hello, hello, yes, yes, who is this? Oh, this is Michelle and Barack. Oh, so surprised to hear. They got four cameras in front.”
Trump then mimicked Harris.
“‘Oh, I’m so surprised,’” Trump said, pretending to be Harris. “‘Listen, we just wanted to congratulate you on destroying Joe Biden. I mean, on winning the . . .”
Kamala Harris was deeply unpopular, but now she is being sold to the American people as the most dynamic political talent of all time.
The Democrats are basically running a Kamala Harris miniseries for the home stretch of the 2024 Presidential race.
