Democrats can rely on the media to have their back no matter what.

But sometimes everything does not go according to plan.

And a CNN host mistakenly exposed one truth about Tim Walz that could sink the Harris campaign.

Harris selects a younger Bernie Sanders to be her running mate

The 2024 Presidential matchup is set now that Vice President Kamala Harris has chosen Minnesota Governor Tim Walz to be her running mate.

Democrats cheered the pick because he’s a true blue radical who is entirely on board with the “woke” agenda.

Many expected Harris to go with Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro because he has a 61% approval rating in a swing state.

Walz is a total unknown at the national level.

One poll showed that 71% of the United States had never even heard of him before Harris tapped him.

That gave Democrats and their comrades in the media a chance to define him for voters.

Walz was a former high school teacher and football coach in rural Minnesota who began his political career by running for Congress in 2006.

The Left have tried to present him as a plain-spoken, avuncular Midwestern dad and coach who will play well in Rust Belt swing states.

The Democrat Media Complex has assured voters that he is a moderate, hoping to balance Harris’ record as a San Francisco liberal.

CNN accidentally tells the truth about Walz’s radical record

Former top Obama advisor David Axelrod appeared on CNN to discuss the selection of Walz.

CNN host Brianna Keilar asked Axelrod if the branding of Walz as a moderate is working.

Keilar said, “He just looks kind of like everyone’s uncle, right? […] He just kind of has this sort of appeal to him . . . And I wonder if you can speak to that, because right now you‘re seeing the Trump campaign and allies of Donald Trump trying to define him.”

Keilar then let Walz’s mishandling of the George Floyd riots slip.

“And David, there are some things they can work with,” Keilar added. “I mean, if they look at some things about the response to the riots and the protests in 2020, he admitted that there was a bit of a delay in calling out the guard.”

Walz sat on his hands while Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey asked for 600 National Guardsmen.

Governor Walz waited a day, then sent only 100 National Guard troops.

Keilar continued, “There was a bipartisan report from the Minnesota Senate that found that he and the mayor of Minneapolis didn’t fully recognize the scope of the problem they were dealing with and that they didn’t respond to it in a timely manner.”

The CNN host asked, “Why does that matter that, I think sort of like the vessel here . . . let’s say his appearance and also his demeanor, just kind of straightforwardness of him. Is that going to trump his record?”

Axelrod said that Walz should beat the Republicans to the punch and come clean about his mistakes in order to take the issues off the table.

He said, “You don’t look at this guy in any way, shape, or form and say, ‘boy, this guy looks like a raving left-wing extremist.’ He doesn’t sound like it, he doesn’t talk like it.”

Harris picked Walz because he’s a self-described “progressive” who can pretend to be a folksy Midwesterner.

Unsurprisingly, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) both celebrated the selection of Walz.

Walz supported a state-level version of the Green New Deal, open borders policies, and declared Minnesota a “transgender sanctuary.”

Democrats are hoping they can fool voters for fewer than 100 days until the election.
