When most Americans think about the U.S. border crisis, they think of illegals coming from countries like Mexico and Venezuela.

But the U.S. southern border invasion is starting to resemble the UN General Assembly.

And now legacy media’s flagship show, 60 Minutes, just revealed an extremely shocking truth about the border crisis that many people didn’t know.

60 Minutes reveals illegals from China are growing in numbers

The CBS television program 60 Minutes is one of longest-running legacy news shows in the country.

And viewers of this week’s show were left in shock after a segment ran discussing a very serious problem at the U.S. border.

The segment showed footage of undocumented Chinese illegal aliens sneaking right through a hole in the U.S. border with Mexico.

Correspondent Sharyn Alfonsi filed the segment, opening with, “The number of migrants arriving at the southern border is unprecedented. Last year, U.S. Customs and Border Protection recorded two-and-a-half million instances of detaining or turning away people attempting to cross into the United States from Mexico.”

“So what’s the fastest growing group among them?” she asked.

“Chinese migrants. Yes, you heard that right…Chinese. We saw large groups, including many from the middle class, come through a 4-foot gap at the end of a border fence 60 miles east of San Diego,” she continued.

A video clip shows a steady flow of what looks like Chinese nationals walking right through a gap in the border wall as they push the ineffective section of barbed wire aside.

Cameras also captured an armed Border Patrol Agent standing a mere 25 feet away as he did nothing to try and stop them from entering illegally.

The release of the 60 Minutes segment was ironic since the text of a new border bill was released just one hour before airtime.

Chinese illegals are the fastest-growing group attempting to cross into the U.S., with CBP reporting 37,000 Chinese nationals being apprehended so far.

That number is a staggering 50 times more than two years earlier.

Several illegals said they wanted to escape China’s repressive political climate and a struggling economy.

One woman from China decided to leave her two young children with family, travel to Mexico, and cross into the United States through a hole at the southern border, claiming that the strict COVID lockdowns in China destroyed her business.

The woman, who spoke to 60 Minutes through a translator, said that “freedom” is the thing that motivated her to leave.

Chinese nationals are going to great lengths

Another man in the 60 Minutes segment said that it took him 40 days to get to the United States from China.

He said he traveled through several countries including Thailand, Morocco, Ecuador, Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica, and Nicaragua.

Many of the middle-class Chinese nationals arrived in the U.S. with rolling suitcases, with some saying that they took flights directly from China to Mexico.

Others flew from China to Ecuador since it doesn’t require Chinese nationals to have a visa, then they flew to Tijuana and connected with smugglers, paying $400 for a ride to the gap at the border.

Perhaps most concerning is that many of the illegal aliens said they knew about the hole in the border thanks to videos on TikTok, some of which include step-by-step instructions about how to hire smugglers and how to get to the border gap.
